Cs0.32WO3 Particles Applied for Thermal Insulation Dispersion Liquid

Cs0.32WO3 particles, namely cesium tungsten bronze nanoparticles, may be used to prepare a new thermal insulation dispersion liquid with excellent near-infrared shielding performance and high transparent thermal insulation properties.

In order to further improve the near-infrared shielding and transparent thermal insulation properties of cesium tungsten bronze particles, the solvothermally synthesized Cs0.32WO3 nanopowder was hydrothermally treated at a low temperature of 190°C to study the effect of hydrothermal treatment on the crystal form, morphology, near-infrared shielding and transparent thermal insulation properties of Cs0.32WO3 particles in the presence of acetic acid and HF.

The results show that the hydrothermal treatment under the coexistence of acetic acid and HF does not significantly change the crystal form and morphology of the cesium tungsten bronze particles. The Cs0.32WO3 particles obtained by hydrothermal treatment under the condition that the ratio of the substance of W to F was 1:0.45 exhibited the best transparent heat insulating property. In addition, compared with the high temperature hydrogen reduction heat treatment, the low temperature hydrothermal treatment can make the cesium tungsten bronze particles have the advantages of small size and high uniformity, which is advantageous for improving the dispersibility and transparent heat insulation performance in the dispersion.
