Rare earth market quotation in China: terbium oxide, neodymium oxide and dysprosium oxide prices declined slightly on September 4, 2020 on heavy wait-and-see atmosphere in the market. 

The light rare earth market was weak. Although the recent development of the global new energy industry has better than that of the period of coronavirus outbreak, affected by quiet policy news and high raw material prices, downstream buyers were not active in purchasing products. The whole market trading kept in a low level. In the medium and heavy rare earth market, the price of mainstream products fluctuated sharply. In addition to the increase in raw material imports, the reducing impact of high temperature and rainy season, the increased release of production capacity of rare earth smelting enterprises also were the reasons for the imbalanced supply and demand in the market. Now many industry players still have greater hopes for the market outlook.
