Lanthanum Oxide Price - August 18, 2020

Europium oxide, lanthanum oxide and dysprosium oxide prices in China are unchanged from the previous trading day on August 18, 2020. Under the intertwining of negative and positive factors, downstream users are more motivated to take goods, while upstream merchants are more eager to hold goods.

In the light rare earth market, the overall activity has increased. Under the influence of more recent natural disasters, the output of many rare earth smelting enterprises has shrunk, coupled with the limited import volume, resulting in a situation in which the supply of praseodymium and neodymium products exceeds demand, and the low-price resources are hard to be found; in the medium and heavy rare earth market, the fundamentals are good. Under the background of insufficient spot supply and active inquiries from downstream magnetic materials companies, holders are less willing to take the initiative to ship goods, and operations are mostly based on long-term orders. The quotations of dysprosium and terbium products have increased rapidly.
