China Molybdenum Concentrate Price - Aug. 11, 2020

The ferro molybdenum and molybdenum concentrate prices in China climb slightly under deadlocked supply and demand with the impact of many uncertainties. Upstream sellers are not willing to cut prices while buyers can not accept high products. 

Firstly, due to heavy rains, the production of many domestic molybdenum companies has been severely disrupted, and the output has dropped significantly. Coupled with the slowdown in logistics and transportation, traders are more reluctant to sell; secondly, most downstream users’ inventory is difficult to maintain normal operation this month due to tight supply of raw materials, so the industry is mostly bullish about the market outlook; thirdly, owing to the geopolitical instability of various countries and the traditional consumption off-season, market demand is limited.
