New Guide Prices from Ganzhou Tungsten Association for May Stabilized

Analysis of latest tungsten market from Chinatungsten Online

The ferro tungsten and tungsten bar prices in China continue to maintain stability due to persistent weakness in the demand side and heavy wait-and-see atmosphere in the market. The new guide prices from listed tungsten companies and institution were released, which stabilize on the whole. 

China's Ganzhou Tungsten Association's tungsten forecast prices for May: wolframite concentrate price was $11,176.50/t; ammonium paratungstate (APT) was $196.10/mtu; medium particle tungsten powder price was $27.90/kg. 

Jiangxi Tungsten's offer for wolframite concentrate stood at $11,470.60/t, up $147.10/t compared with last month.

The COVID-19 continues to spread in more than 200 countries and regions around the world, having a huge impact on the tungsten downstream industry. Taking the automobile industry as an example, there were more than 150 OEMs and more than 3,000 parts companies that were closed globally by early April according to statistics. Professor Ferdinand Dudenhofer, “The Godfather of German Automobiles”, expects that it will take 10 years for the global automotive market to return to 2019 levels.
