China Molybdenum Powder Price - May 6, 2020

Molybdenum market quotation in China: the prices of ferro molybdenum and molybdenum oxide rose slightly while molybdenum powder price stabilized in the first trading day on May 5, 2020 after the holiday of May Day on cautious sentiment of market participants. 

In the context of the stable development of the infrastructure industry, most industry players are more concerned about the bidding volume and price of a new round of steel mills. The price of mainstream products on the market tended to stabilize under deadlocked supply and demand. Due to the insufficient inventory of raw material molybdenum concentrates and ferro-molybdenum products, molybdenum companies and ferro-molybdenum merchants are more optimistic. There are no obvious sales pressures and traders keep firm offers. Therefore, it is difficult to find low-cost resources in the market.
