China Tungsten Prices Were Weak on Declined Guide Prices for April

Analysis of latest tungsten market from Chinatungsten Online

China tungsten prices continued to be weak in the first trading day after the holiday of Qingming Festival as tungsten institutions and large companies declined their guide prices for the first half of April, weakening market confidence.

Ganzhou Tungsten Association released its average tungsten forecast prices for April: wolframite concentrate price was $14,765.6/t, down $312.5/t compared with last month; ammonium paratungstate (APT) price was $259.5/t, down $7.1/mtu; medium particle tungsten powder price was $35.9/kg, down $0.8/kg. 

Zhangyuan Tungsten’s offer levels for early April: wolframite concentrate (WO3≥65%) was quoted at $14,765.6/t, down $390.6/t compared with the second half of March; scheelite concentrate (WO3≥65%) was quoted at $14,531.3/t, down $390.6/t; APT was quoted at $259.5/mtu, down $6.2/mtu.

Wolframite concentrate was quoted at $15,312.5/t for this month by Jiangxi Tungsten, down $312.5/t; Xiamen Tungsten’s offer for APT was $264.8/mtu, down $3.5/mtu from the second half of March.
