BioSolar Corporation, a US developer of energy storage technology and materials, announced that it has started to produce and test its second batch of commercial-grade prototype 21700 lithium-ion batteries with the help of its South Korean technology partner TopBattery, according to foreign media reports.

The iron-doped tungsten oxide (W₁₈O₄₉) nanoreactor provides a new idea for electrocatalytic efficient nitrogen fixation. Recently, a team of researchers from Jian Liu of the Institute of Chemicals of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the team of Ji Liang from the University of Wollongong, Australia, developed an iron-doped W₁₈O₄₉ nanoreactor through the strategy of defect-doped iron doping which achieved higher ammonia yield and higher Faraday efficiency at low potential, providing new ideas for efficient electrocatalytic nitrogen fixation.

LG Chem has signed an agreement with the US electric vehicle (EV) maker Lucid Motors on February 25 to exclusively supply next-generation cylindrical batteries for EVs from the second half of this year until 2023, but the quantity and amount of the supply are not specific. Lucid Motors plans to start producing Lucid Air pure electric cars in 2020.
