Chinese exports of rare earths in September up by 155%

Headquartered in Hong Kong, China Customs Statistics Information Service Center (China Customs Statistics Information Center, abbreviated CCS) released a report Tuesday evening , China September exports of 4,170 tons of rare earth ore , metals and compounds , representing an increase of 155% over the same period last year , compared with August growth of 77%.
The center said the January- September period of rare earth export volume increase of 12.9% over the previous year , to 33,604 tonnes.
The data also show that 1- September rare earth exports fell 49.6% to $ 1.5 billion , with the weakening global demand is consistent .

August 2013 Jiangsu ports record export volume of rare earth

According to the Nanjing Customs statistics, in the first eight months of this year , total exports of rare earth Jiangsu port 1268 tons more than last year ( the same below ) increased by 2 -fold ; worth $ 21.27 million , down 31% ; export average price of $ 17,000 per ton , down 76.6 % .
Since the beginning of April this year , Jiangsu ports rare earth exports continued heavy volume , August month export volume rose to 435.2 tons , an increase of 17.7 times , the chain increased 1.7 times , a record high.
