Built several regional selection plants

Coarse grain tungsten ore (gross sand) selection, is the key to ensure the final tungsten concentrate recovery and the quality of tungsten concentrates, as well as an important part of separation and comprehensive recovery of associated elements. There were Ganzhou and Shaoguan selection plants in the past, focusing on the gross sand of mine. But in the market economy stage, driven by interests and lack of gross sand sources raw materials, these two plants closed and changed the line of production.

 

Bigger scale concentrators have set Selection workshop (section), due to the small amount of gross sand, the selection operation is intermittently, equipments are outdated, and even some very old equipments, the processes are arbitrary, the focus is not on the metal balance, the loss of primary metal tungsten and associated elements is much. Most tungsten concentrators don’t care the technology improvement in selection workshop (section), even outsource the selection part, and there is no professional and technical personnel to study the technology and equipments of selection.

 

It recommended the establishment of Selection plants in tungsten mines-intensive areas like Gannan, North Yue and Xiangnan. The key is to introduce market mechanisms and adjust the interests of all sides, make sure the quality, grade standards and prices of gross sand, guarantee the source of coarse-grained ore.
