Tungsten Carbide Nozzle Reduce Abrasion Analysis

Under the impact of high-speed abrasive particles, the main abrasive form of tungsten carbide nozzles are erosion wear, fatigue wear and micro-cutting wear and so on, which is related to the hardness, shape, size of grind compound. The most serious abrasive place is only at the exit, where the conical section and straight cylindrical section is also relatively severe wear. Therefore, research and control is complicated in such places.

There are two methods to achieve reducing abrasion of tungsten carbide nozzle. One is to build a reasonable grinding compound jet-flow system for studying the movement of the particles and the mechanism of flow cutting, which optimizes the shape and structure inside to reduce the abrasion. The other one is looking for harder and tougher material, such as tungsten carbide, pottery, diamond and artificial gem, etc.
