Tungsten Carbide Rod Cold Isostatic Process
Tungsten carbide rod cold isostatic process includes pressure cutting method, wet bag method and dry bag method.
1.Pressure cutting method. First pressing the grinded carbon powder into a block and treat it with the cold isostatic process. And then carry the continuous processing. Only a small amount of plasticizer like polyethylene ethanol and paraffin are required in this process. No plasticizer is required if the pressure is high enough. The tungsten carbide rod made through this method is very rough. It needs to be processed again before it becomes a finished product.
2.Wet bag method. The mould is averagely under the same high pressure liquid (about 200MPa), the specimen size is limited by the cavity, as a result it's not suitable for mass production. This method is mainly for large diameter bar.
3.Dry bag method. This method uses different liquid as transmission medium. The mould is semi-fixed. The blanks are being adding and removing under dry condition. Due to the high degree of automation and shorter operation circle, it is suitable for mass production.
