Nano Tungsten Trioxide Preparation by Electrolysis

With the rapid development of modern industry, a large number of untreated industrial wastewater and other untreated wastewater are discharged directly into the nature, causing huge pollution damage to the environment and seriously affecting human health. However, the traditional environmental governance has many problems, such as high energy consumption, high cost, low efficiency and incomplete governance.
In recent years, the rapid development of nanotechnology has provided a new platform for various fields, such as photocatalysis. Because photocatalytic technology can degrade all kinds of organic pollutants directly by using sunlight at room temperature and has no secondary pollution, it has become an ideal technology for environmental pollution control.
The traditional preparation methods of nano tungsten trioxide include gas phase method, solid phase method and liquid phase method. Gas-phase method has the disadvantages of expensive equipment, high cost and complex operation, which is not conducive to industrial production; solid-phase method is liable to produce some toxic gases, which have adverse effects on the environment; liquid-phase method mainly includes sol-gel method, precipitation method, microemulsion method, electrolysis method and so on. The manufacturing process of electrolysis is described below.
(1) Pretreatment of pure aluminium samples;
Industrial pure aluminium samples were cut into 20 *10 mm specimens. Copper wires were connected with the samples. The samples were sealed with epoxy resin. After curing, the specimens were polished with 600, 1000, 2000 SiC sandpaper. Rinse with tap water, ultrasonic with alcohol, rinse with deionized water several times and blow dry.
(2) preparation of electrolyte;
The composition of the electrolytic solution is as follows: Na2WO4·2H2O:10g per 1000 mL deionized water;
(3) setting parameters of micro-arc oxidation power supply;
Using constant current AC pulse mode, positive current density: 50A/dm2, negative current density: 0, frequency: 100Hz, positive and negative duty cycle are: 20%.
(4) The preparation process of micro nano tungsten trioxide powder;
The pure aluminium sample is used as the anode and the steel plate as the cathode. It is put into the electrolyte and connected with the wire. The magnet is put into the electrolyte and stirred on the magnetic mixer. The electrolyte is cooled by a loop cooling system to ensure that the system is at a constant temperature of 20 ℃. Set the parameters of the power supply, turn on the power supply, after 1 hour of treatment, turn off the power supply, take out the sample, pour out the electrolyte, put the electrolyte in a static position for several hours, pour out the supernatant, wash the precipitation with deionized water for several times, and dry it, so as to obtain nano tungsten trioxide.
The above method broadens the application scope of plasma electrolytic oxidation technology, and has the advantages of low equipment cost, no special pretreatment process, high efficiency and simple operation. In addition, the electrolyte can be reused, less environmental pollution, in line with today's environmental requirements.
