Welding of Tungsten Electrode Clamping Structure for Aeroengine Duct

At present, domestic aero-engine conduits are constrained by selected metal materials, overall design layout, hydraulic and pneumatic functions, and must be manufactured by welding at their joint joints. At present, the types of conduits used in aero-engine welded joints are numerous, and the shape of the conduits themselves. In order to ensure the strength of the weld, manual fusion welding is usually used to connect the joint with the main body of the pipe.
Welding method of aeroengine duct shall be carried out according to the following steps:
(1)Fixtures matching the welded pipe are selected according to the diameter of the welded pipe.
(2)Fix the upper and lower clasps of the pipe fixture to the upper and lower canopy caps of the welding machine respectively.
(3)According to the type of weld connection, install butt welding tungsten electrode clamping device or overlap welding tungsten electrode clamping device. When clamping tungsten electrode, the axis of tungsten electrode and the axis of welded part of welded pipe should form an angle of 45 or 90 degrees. When the weld of welded pipe is overlap, the angle between the axis of tungsten electrode and the axis of welded part should be clamped. When the weld of the welded pipe is in the form of joint, the clamping angle between the tungsten pole axis and the axis of the welded part of the pipe is 90 degrees.
(4)Close the cover of the welding machine, determine the welding parameters according to the main material and diameter of the pipe fittings, and use the automatic rotary arc welding equipment to weld the aero-engine conduit.
In order to realize overlap weld welding, tungsten pole must be deflected to form an angle of 40 50 with the axis of the tube, and tungsten pole must be adjustable in order to adapt to different diameter and thickness of the tube. At the same time, the space of welded pipe clamp is limited. The newly developed clamping device for overlapping welding tungsten pole should be as small as possible, and it will not touch other parts or generate arc discharge when rotating.
Practice has proved that compared with traditional manual argon arc welding, automatic rotary arc welding for Aeroengine duct can shorten the processing cycle by several times and the qualified rate of weld seam is higher (nearly 100%). Under the condition of stable working parameters of welding equipment, the welding quality is reliable, and high quality weld seam can be obtained continuously, which greatly improves navigation.
