Paper-based Bamboo Curtain with Nano Tungsten Oxide Photocatalyst

As an important n-type semiconductor, nano-tungsten trioxide is widely used in lithium-ion batteries, electrochromic devices, gas sensors and photocatalysis due to its good optical and electrical properties. Its popularity is no less than that of titanium dioxide. For example, in product innovation, some enterprises used nano tungsten oxide to prepare a photocatalyst paper-based bamboo curtain product.

Firstly, nano sized tungsten oxide was used to prepare aqueous emulsion of photocatalyst. After heating with 40% ammonium tungstate solution at 50 degrees C, it cooled and added ethanol to form the first latex solution. Then cationic surfactant was added to protect the colloid, and second latex solution was obtained through mechanical miscible refining. Then the paper based bamboo fiber and bamboo curtain were combined to obtain the paper based bamboo curtain; finally, the second latex solution was put under pressure. The paper-based bamboo curtain with nano tungsten oxide photocatalyst was prepared by spraying on paper-based bamboo curtain at 0.2 MPa.

According to the calculation of authoritative institutions, the purification effect of the nano tungsten oxide photocatalyst paper-based bamboo curtain reaches 10-20 times of the existing titanium dioxide photocatalyst, which can produce a strong photo-touch effect under ordinary visible light conditions, after white light, black light, plain paper. The base bamboo curtain has a formaldehyde degradation of more than 70% at room temperature for 24 hours, and the light conversion efficiency is higher, which can more effectively degrade formaldehyde, harmful particles, odor, pathogenic bacteria and the like.
