After tungsten carbide button is turned, grinded or polished, the residual oil, dirt, oxide and so on are tightly combined with the surface of tungsten carbide which will cause serious dirt. It requires that the product should be clean, dry and free from corrosion.
The theory of ultrasonic cleaning is that sound waves whose vibration frequency exceeds 20 kHz are called as ultrasound. In nature, the ultrasound is as same as sound wave which is densely spaced vibration and can be transmitted through a medium by mechanical vibration.
During the cleaning of tungsten carbide, the ultrasonic generator converts the HF from the electricity to the vibration which moves up and down through an ultrasonic transducer. The vibration is transmitted to the cleaning fluid in the cleaning tank, so that loose and tight vibration occurs alternately in the liquid. Liquid is constantly stretched and compressed which produces tens of thousands of micron-sized bubbles and vacuoles. Under the effect of the ultrasound, they keep producing, closing and being magnified quickly. During the closing, owing to the collision between the liquid, the liquid generates high-pressure shock wave and constant HV impulse, continuously wash the surface of workpieces which have been cleaned and leads to the ultrasonic cavitation effect. Under the frequent and sustained impact, the dirt layer will be peeled, dispersed and detached in order to purify the surface of cleaned parts.
The automatic cleaning process of tungsten carbide button is usually arranged as: automatic feeding- ultrasonic rinsing - ultrasonic fine washing- hot water rinsing - hot water spraying - strong wind drying - hot air drying - automatic cutting and so on. Different distribution of dirt on the surface has different cleaning process.
