Tungsten-Rhenium Wire Advantages and Specifications

Once the use of tungsten at high temperature after recrystallization becomes very brittle and subject to shock or vibration in the case of easily broken. Some require high reliability in electric light source products, in order to prevent breakage of the filament, usually by adding rhenium doped tungsten, tungsten-rhenium wire known, rhenium alloy containing 1% to 5% (mass), in addition to mixed into the silicon, aluminum, potassium, to improve the high temperature properties of the material. It can make an extension of the tungsten-brittle transition temperature drops to or below room temperature.tungsten rhenium wire

Tungsten-Rhenium Wire Advantages

With room and high temperature strength, good ductility after recrystallization, the resistance rate is high, low resistivity, resistant to oxidation and carbonization, anti-"water cycle response" capability and welding performance and good.

Tungsten-Rhenium Wire Specifications: There WAl-1Re, WAl-3Re and WAl-5Re three kinds of grades

Tungsten-rhenium wire in addition, 25% Re and 26% Re two tungsten-rhenium alloy frequently used, mainly for thermocouple materials! Tungsten-rhenium thermocouples main strengths in: a fast response. 2, wide temperature range up to 2500 ℃. But is generally used in an inert atmosphere or a reducing atmosphere, or need to add protective casing, generally of Mo alloy casing!

Tungsten-rhenium wire standard configuration: W-3% Re Vs.W-25% Re; W-5% Re Vs W-26% Re are two types!

Tungsten-Rhenium Wire Production Process

Tungsten-rhenium wire surface is smooth, no glitches, uniform diameter.tungsten-rhenium wire

Tungsten-Rhenium Wire Production Process

Preparation of raw materials - raw materials separation - mixing - reduction treatment - second mixing - Pressed Sintered - swaging, drawing processing - Finished

1 Raw material preparation: raw materials for the tungsten powder and ammonium perrhenate powder, tungsten powder particle size less than 4um, ammonium perrhenate size of less than 200um

2.Separating material: tungsten powder and powder of ammonium perrhenate were separated in the separator, so that agglomerated particles well dispersed

3. Mixing: The separation had separated ammonium tungsten powder and rhenium powder together into efficient mixer for mixing, mixing time 10-24 hours

4. Reduction treatment: mixed alloy powder under the protection of the hydrogen reduction treatment. Reduction treatment is divided into three phases:

First stage: reduction temperature 200-350 ° Time 1-2h
Second stage: reduction temperature 400-600 ° Time 1-2h
Third stage: the reduction temperature 700-900 ° Time 1-2h

The processing time for each stage according to the processing equipment conditions, furnace volume, loading capacity may be

5.Second Mixture
The restored again into high alloy powder were mixed mixer, mixing time 8-20h

6.Pressed Sintered
For the second time after mixing the alloy powder pressed into a billet, billet temperature of 1100-1300 ° now and hydrogen under the protection of pre-sintering time 0.4-1h, after the pre-sintered billet at a temperature of 2600-3000 ° and hydrogen under the protection of the final vertical melt sintering time 1-2h

7.Swaging, Drawing Processing
Sintered billet in rotary swaging machine for swaging processed into thin rods, thin rods made in wire drawing machine pull tungsten rhenium alloy wire.

USAS-12 & Tungsten Alloy Hunting Shot

Tungsten alloy hunting shot is adopted as shot of USAS-12 for its high density, high hardness and resistance to high temperature. The Daewoo Precision Industries USAS-12 (Universal Sports Automatic Shotgun 12 gauge) is an automatic shotgun designed as a combat shotgun manufactured in South Korea by Daewoo Precision Industries during the 1980s.

The USAS-12 is a gas-operated, selective-fire weapon which is designed to provide sustained firepower in close-combat scenarios. It accepts detachable 10-round box magazines or 20-round drum magazines. Both types of magazine are made of polymer, and drum magazines have their rear side made from translucent polymer for quick determination of the number of shot shells left. It has an effective range of 40m.

The latest version of the USAS-12 is capable of fully automatic fire.

Tungsten alloy hunting shot highly improves lethality of USAS-12 for its high density and high hardness.

Tungsten Alloy Warhead & SM-3

Tungsten alloy warhead is adopted by SM-3, for its high density, high hardness and other properties. The RIM-161 Standard Missile 3 (SM-3) is a ship-based missile system used by the US Navy to intercept short- to intermediate-range ballistic missiles as a part of Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense System. Although primarily designed as an anti-ballistic missile missile, the SM-3 has also been employed in an anti-satellite capacity against a satellite at the lower end of low Earth orbit. The SM-3 is primarily used and tested by the United States Navy and also operated by the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force.

The SM-3 evolved from the proven SM-2 Block IV design. The SM-3 uses the same booster and dual thrust rocket motor as the Block IV missile for the first and second stages and the same steering control section and midcourse missile guidance for maneuvering in the atmosphere. To support the extended range of an exo-atmospheric intercept, additional missile thrust is provided in a new third stage for the SM-3 missile, containing a dual pulse rocket motor for the early exo-atmospheric phase of flight.

Using tungsten alloy warhead, SM-3 can destroy aircraft, satellite and even ballistic missile.

Tungsten Alloy Hunting Shot for Remington Model 870

Tungsten alloy hunting shot is adopted as shot of Remington Model 870 for its high density, high hardness and resistance to high temperature. The Remington Model 870 is a U.S.-made pump-action shotgun manufactured by Remington Arms Company, LLC. It is widely used by the public for sport shooting, hunting, and self-defense. It is also commonly used by law enforcement and military organizations worldwide.

The Remington 870 was the fourth major design in a series of Remington pump shotguns. John Pedersen designed the fragile Remington Model 10 (and later the improved Remington Model 29). John Browning designed the Remington Model 17 (which was later adapted by Ithaca into the Ithaca 37), which served as the basis for the Remington 31. The Model 31 was well liked,[4] but struggled for sales in the shadow of the Winchester Model 12. Remington sought to correct that in 1949 by introducing a modern, streamlined, rugged, reliable, and relatively inexpensive shotgun – the 870. It was an adaptation of the Remington 11–48 autoloader, itself an adaptation of the John Browning-designed Remington 11.

Tungsten alloy hunting shot highly improves lethality of Remington Model 870 for its high density and high hardness.
