Chinese molybdenum prices maintained weak adjustment in the week to Friday August 24. The new environmental protection was launched on August 20 and some molybdenum mines in major production areas stopped production to undergo repair. Affected by that, trading activity in the raw material market increased. 

Rare earth market quotation in China: domestic rare earth price has been maintained weak adjustment since August as manufacturers cut production under the environmental protection policy. The usual quiet trading activity has pressed prices down in Chinese market. In the short term, prices will continue downward trend.
