Tungsten Slime Recycle – Gravity Flotation Method

Tungsten ore is fragile, during beneficiation process, tungsten slime is easily formed. So tungsten tailings still contain many effective tungsten metal elements.

Therefore, tungsten slime recycle can improve resource application rate and lower cost.

In early days, tabling method is used for tungsten slime recycle. It has shortcomings of low recycle rate. Modern enterprises can never ignore it due to economic efficiency. With development of industrial technology, tungsten slime gravity flotation method is invented based on tabling method.

Tungsten slime gravity flotation method has three process, gravity flotation preconcentration, flotation and gravity flotation.

1.Concentrate tungsten slime, preconcentrate by centrifuge, eliminate useless mineral vein in the process to obtain tungsten slime coarse concentrate.

2.Desufurize float tungsten slime coarse concentrate to obtain desulfurization coarse tungsten concentrate.

3.Sieving tungsten concentrate by gravity flotation.

This method is mainly applied for tungsten concentrate in south of Jiangxi. Thanks to preconcentration, subsequent process mine volume is reduced. It not only reduce labor and cost, but also improve concentrate grade. This method has replaced tabling method as mainstream in tungsten slime recycle.
