Military tungsten alloy swaging rod is made of tungsten alloy alloy. Afrter being swaged, the ultimate tensile strength of tungsten alloy rod is increased. The tensile strength of military tungsten alloy swaging rod
can reach 1200MPa, or even 1400MPa. Military tungsten alloy swaging rod is widely used for MGM-166 LOSAT.
The MGM-166 LOSAT (Line-of-Sight Anti-Tank) was a U.S. surface-to-surface missile system designed by Lockheed Martin (originally Vought) to defeat tanks and other individual targets. Instead of using a High Explosive Anti-Tank warhead like other anti-tank missiles, the LOSAT employed a tungsten alloy kinetic energy penetrator to punch through armor. The LOSAT is fairly light; it was designed to be mounted onto a Humvee while allowing the vehicle to remain air-portable. LOSAT eventually emerged on an extended-length heavy-duty Humvee with a hard-top containing four KEMs used by special operations.
With high tensile strength and high hardness of military tungsten alloy swaging rod, MGM-166 LOSAT can penetrate armor by using kinetic energy and destroy armor vehicles.

Military Tungsten Alloy Swaging Rod for Kinetic Energy Penetrator

A kinetic energy penetrator (also known as a KE weapon) is a type of ammunition which, like a bullet, does not contain explosives and uses kinetic energy to penetrate the target. The term can apply to any type of armour-piercing shot but typically refers to a modern type of armour piercing weapon, the armour-piercing fin-stabilized discarding-sabot (APFSDS), a type of long-rod penetrator (LRP), and not to small arms bullets.
The principle of the kinetic energy penetrator is that it uses its kinetic energy, which is a function of mass and velocity, to force its way through armour. If the armor is defeated, the heat and spalling (particle spray) generated by the penetrator going through the armor, and the pressure wave that would develop, would destroy the target.
With high tensile strength and high hardness of military tungsten alloy swaging rod, kinetic energy penetrator can penetrate armor by using kinetic energy and destroy armor vehicles.

The NOTS-EV-2 Caleb, also known as NOTS-500, Hi-Hoe and SIP was an expendable launch system, which was later used as a sounding rocket and prototype anti-satellite weapon. It was developed by the United States Navy Naval Ordnance Test Station (NOTS) as a follow-up to the NOTS-EV-1 Pilot, which had been abandoned following ten consecutive launch failures. Two were launched in July and October 1960, before the cancellation of the project. Following cancellation, two leftover Calebs were used in the Satellite Interceptor Program, or SIP, whilst three more were used as sounding rocktets, under the designation Hi-Hoe. These derivatives flew until July 1962, when the Hi-Hoe made its final flight.
With high tensile strength and high hardness of military tungsten alloy swaging rod, NOTS-EV-1 Pilot can destroy satellite easily by using kinetic energy.

can reach 1200MPa, or even 1400MPa. Military tungsten alloy swaging rod is widely used for SM-3 missile.
SM-3 missile is a ship-based missile system used by the US Navy to intercept short- to intermediate-range ballistic missiles as a part of Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense System. Although primarily designed as an anti-ballistic missile missile, the SM-3 has also been employed in an anti-satellite capacity against a satellite at the lower end of low Earth orbit. The SM-3 is primarily used and tested by the United States Navy and also operated by the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force.
On February 14, 2008, U.S. officials announced plans to use a modified SM-3 missile launched from a group of three ships in the North Pacific to destroy the failed American satellite USA 193 at an altitude of 130 nautical miles (240 kilometers) shortly before atmospheric reentry, stating that the intention was to "reduce the danger to human beings" due to the release of toxic hydrazine fuel carried on board. A spokesperson stated that software associated with the SM-3 had been modified to enhance the chances of the missile's sensors recognizing that the satellite was its target, since the missile was not designed for ASAT operations.

The NOTS-EV-1 Pilot, also known as NOTSNIK was an expendable launch system and anti-satellite weapon developed by the United States Navy United States Naval Ordnance Test Station (NOTS). Ten were launched during July and August 1958, all of which failed. It was the first air-launched rocket to be used for an orbital launch attempt, however none were recorded as having reached orbit. Following the first and third orbital launch attempts, a tracking station in New Zealand reported receiving weak signals from the spacecraft, however this was never confirmed, and the launches were not catalogued as having reached orbit. The Pilot rocket was part of Project Pilot.
With high tensile strength and high hardness of military tungsten alloy swaging rod, NOTS-EV-1 Pilot can destroy satellite easily by using kinetic energy.
