China's Molybdenum Products Imports and Exports in the First Quarter of 2025

According to data compiled by CTIA GROUP LTD from the General Administration of Customs, China's molybdenum products imports and exports for the first quarter of 2025 are as follows:

Imports in Q1 2025:

China imported a total of 21,329.20 tons of molybdenum products, down 12.97% quarter-on-quarter but up 33.20% year-on-year. The total import value was 3.08 billion yuan, down 13.53% quarter-on-quarter but up 39.06% year-on-year.

Roasted molybdenum ores and concentrates: 2,181.38 tons, up 33.58% year-on-year.

Other molybdenum ores and concentrates: 15,719.98 tons, up 41.69% year-on-year.

Molybdenum oxides and hydroxides: 387.86 tons, down 44.52% year-on-year.

Ammonium molybdate: 543.51 tons, up 251.82% year-on-year.

Other molybdates: 363.25 tons, up 24.05% year-on-year.

Ferromolybdenum: 2,071.26 tons, up 1.42% year-on-year.

Molybdenum powder: 987.00 kg, down 16.50% year-on-year.

Unwrought molybdenum, including bars and rods simply sintered: 540.00 kg, up 53,900.00% year-on-year.

Molybdenum bars, rods, profiles, plates, sheets, strips, and foils: 50.69 tons, down 40.16% year-on-year.

Molybdenum wire: 3.89 tons, down 13.06% year-on-year.

Other molybdenum products: 5.86 tons, down 0.80% year-on-year.

Exports in Q1 2025:

China exported a total of 9,535.28 tons of molybdenum products, down 19.67% quarter-on-quarter but up 0.94% year-on-year. The total export value was 2.049 billion yuan, down 23.02% quarter-on-quarter and 5.09% year-on-year.

Roasted molybdenum ores and concentrates: 3,572.78 tons, up 25.56% year-on-year.

Other molybdenum ores and concentrates: 2,098.17 tons, up 21.51% year-on-year.

Molybdenum oxides and hydroxides: 608.39 tons, down 53.41% year-on-year.

Ammonium molybdate: 78.49 tons, down 47.16% year-on-year.

Other molybdates: 103.89 tons, up 10.17% year-on-year.

Ferromolybdenum: 1,648.75 tons, up 7.40% year-on-year.

Molybdenum powder: 6.61 tons, down 89.01% year-on-year.

Unwrought molybdenum, including bars and rods simply sintered: 513.66 tons, down 40.03% year-on-year.

Molybdenum bars, rods, profiles, plates, sheets, strips, and foils: 216.16 tons, up 28.72% year-on-year.

Molybdenum wire: 67.04 tons, down 3.32% year-on-year.

Molybdenum waste and scrap: 574.46 tons, down 0.49% year-on-year.

Other molybdenum products: 46.87 tons, down 20.99% year-on-year.

Imports in March 2025:

China imported 7,553.41 tons of molybdenum products, up 16.08% month-on-month and 23.86% year-on-year. The import value was 1.144 billion yuan, up 27.35% month-on-month and 27.66% year-on-year.

Roasted molybdenum ores and concentrates: 1,293.50 tons, up 32.94% year-on-year.

Other molybdenum ores and concentrates: 5,001.99 tons, up 31.65% year-on-year.

Molybdenum oxides and hydroxides: 220.34 tons, up 0.80% year-on-year.

Ammonium molybdate: 117.00 tons, up 199.83% year-on-year.

Other molybdates: 65.83 tons, down 9.20% year-on-year.

Ferromolybdenum: 837.00 tons, down 12.99% year-on-year.

Molybdenum powder: 307.00 kg, down 37.60% year-on-year.

Unwrought molybdenum, including bars and rods simply sintered: 1 kg, up 100% year-on-year.

Molybdenum bars, rods, profiles, plates, sheets, strips, and foils: 14.19 tons, down 50.36% year-on-year.

Molybdenum wire: 1.43 tons, down 25.35% year-on-year.

Other molybdenum products: 1.82 tons, down 34.64% year-on-year.

Exports in March 2025:

China exported 3,023.83 tons of molybdenum products, down 14.40% month-on-month and 0.76% year-on-year. The export value was 684 million yuan, down 9.75% month-on-month and 3.76% year-on-year.

Roasted molybdenum ores and concentrates: 1,270.00 tons, up 44.08% year-on-year.

Other molybdenum ores and concentrates: 359.16 tons, down 40.18% year-on-year.

Molybdenum oxides and hydroxides: 315.56 tons, down 34.86% year-on-year.

Ammonium molybdate: 25.33 tons, down 55.56% year-on-year.

Other molybdates: 50.91 tons, down 4.12% year-on-year.

Ferromolybdenum: 413.95 tons, up 16.55% year-on-year.
