Rare Earth Market - June 10, 2025

Rare earth market update on June 10, 2025

The domestic rare earth market is exhibiting a steady yet slightly upward trend, with many suppliers slightly raising their quotes.

Terbium oxide and dysprosium oxide prices have increased by approximately 20 yuan/kg and 20,000 yuan/ton, respectively. Amid the recent rise in raw material prices, prices for rare earth permanent magnet materials and their scrap have also edged up, with 55N neodymium-iron-boron (NdFeB) blank blocks and NdFeB scrap (terbium) rising by about 2 yuan/kg and 50 yuan/kg, respectively. According to CTIA GROUP LTD, overseas rare earth supply remains relatively tight, with higher prices abroad.

According to Global Times, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian hosted the regular press conference on June 9. During the session, a foreign media journalist asked whether China, having expressed willingness last Saturday to expedite the approval process for rare earth magnet exports to Europe via a "green channel," plans to extend this channel to other countries or regions or open additional channels. They also inquired if a similar channel would be opened to the United States. Lin Jian responded that the Ministry of Commerce has already addressed China’s rare earth export control measures, and for specifics on the mentioned situation, inquiries should be directed to the relevant Chinese authorities.
