Global Rare Earth Reserves Dropped by More Than 18% by the End of 2024

According to China Tungsten Online, data from the United States Geological Survey show that by the end of 2024, global rare earth reserves were about 90 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of about 18.18%; among them, China's rare earth reserves were the highest, at 44 million tons, accounting for 48.89% of the world's total reserves.

In 2024, global rare earth production was about 390,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of about 3.72%; among them, China's rare earth production was the highest, at 270,000 tons, accounting for 69.23% of the world's total production.
