【Know Tungsten】Barium Tungstate

1.Brief introduction

Barium tungstate is white powder, has micro toxicity. Relative density is 5.04. It can slightly dissolve in water, completely dissolved in oxalate water solution, decompose in acid and is stable in the air.

2. Production Method One:

By reacting barium oxide or carbon barium with tungsten trioxide, or obtained from the dissove of carbon barium in tungstic acid.

3. Production Method Two:

Also can be produced by heating Ba and sodium tungstate solution of replacement reaction.

4.Application

It can be applied in electronic industry and optical glass, ceramic, pigment, inhibiter, enhancer for X-ray and fluorescent screen.
