China’s Tungsten Product Exports from January to February 2025

According to data compiled by China Tungsten Online from the General Administration of Customs, from January to February 2025, China’s exports of tungsten products (excluding carbide cutting tools and tungsten halogen lamps, hereinafter the same) totaled 2,495.23 tons. This represents a year-on-year decrease of 7.30% compared to January-February 2024. The export value amounted to RMB 749 million, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 3.78%.

Of this total, from January to February 2025, China exported 38.40 tons of tungstic acid. Tungsten trioxide exports amounted to 330.48 tons, showing a year-on-year increase of 8.90%. Tungsten hexafluoride exports were 104.79 tons, up 122.93% year-on-year. Ammonium paratungstate exports totaled 122.50 tons, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 57.66%. Ammonium metatungstate exports amounted to 394.54 tons, up 8.90% year-on-year. Tungsten powder exports totaled 251.24 tons, increasing 65.61% year-on-year. Unwrought tungsten, including bars and rods obtained simply by sintering, reached 187.88 tons, surging 178.13% year-on-year. Tungsten wire exports were 56.01 tons, up 8.72% year-on-year. Tungsten waste and scrap exports totaled 104.50 tons, increasing 5.56% year-on-year. Exports of tungsten bars, rods, profiles, plates, sheets, strips, and foils amounted to 96.81 tons, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 36.27%. Exports of other tungsten oxides and hydroxides, not elsewhere specified, were 157.77 tons, down 39.32% year-on-year. Tungsten carbide exports totaled 291.58 tons, decreasing 49.90% year-on-year. Ferro-tungsten exports amounted to 321.22 tons, down 42.99% year-on-year.

In addition, from January to February 2025, China exported 230.00 tons of coated or plated carbide knives and cutting blades for metalworking machinery, showing a year-on-year decrease of 8.26%. Exports of other carbide knives and cutting blades for metalworking machinery amounted to 334.48 tons, down 6.74% year-on-year.
