The tungsten carbide down-cut spiral router bits are designed to cut the working pieces from the top surface down to create a smooth edge at the surface. It makes effort to push down on the material being cut, and helps hold the material in place on the table surface. Cobalt 60 is a synthetic radioactive isotope of cobalt with a half-life of 5.2714 years. It can emit 315KeV high speed electronic and two beams of gamma rays through beta decay. The main β-decay transitions are shown. The probability for population of the middle energy level of 2.1 MeV by β-decay is 0.0022%, with a maximum energy of 665.26 keV.
