Beijing subway planned for completion in 2015 of 100,000 LED lamps transformation

The Beijing Subway department said, in order to achieve the transformation of the Beijing Subway energy saving, to promote green lighting, planned for completion in 2015 of 100,000 LED lighting transformation, 25 stations air conditioning energy conservation transformation, to achieve annual energy-saving target of 10 million degrees.

According to the relevant person in charge of the department, metro continued growth in energy consumption, so energy saving become an important work of the Beijing Subway sector. Starting in 2005, Beijing subway began to invest 8.5 billion yuan for a total of more than 70 equipment system transformation of two subway lines.

Data show, last year, in the Beijing Subway LED lighting energy-saving pilot project, replacement of nearly 2,000 LED lamps in total, annual saving of 156,000 degrees. This year, Beijing subway operating company will expand the green LED lighting, expected to replace 20,000 LED lamps, and expected annual saving of 170 million degrees.
