This is because lithium ions are deposited in the tungsten trioxide film due to their multiple insertion and extraction. Some experts have used XPS and XRD analysis to find that when a large amount of lithium is embedded in the film, tungsten bronze is converted into lithium tungstate, and the formation of lithium tungstate is the main reason for the deterioration of the electrochromic performance of the WOx film.
