Amorphous WO3 Electrochromic Film

Amorphous WO3 electrochromic film has broad application prospects in smart windows due to its excellent electrochromic properties. The amorphous phase tungsten trioxide film can be deposited on transparent conductive ITO glass by RF magnetron sputtering technology using WO3 ceramic target as raw material. The results show that the tungsten trioxide electrochromic films obtained under different powers are all amorphous with high transmittance in the visible light band. The transparent WO3 film gradually changes to a deep blue under a negative voltage, and its color does not change after the voltage is removed. When a forward voltage is applied, the film is converted into a transparent state, exhibiting good electrochromic properties. Specifically, the prepared WO3 film had a transmittance of 83% in a bleached state at 550nm and a transmittance of 29% in a colored state.
