Tungsten Oxide Nanorod Applied for Electrochromic Thin Film

Tungsten oxide nanorod can be used to prepare an electrochromic thin film, which can be applied to architectural glass or automotive glass to provide advantages such as heat insulation, energy conservation, UV resistance and electricity reduction.

For the raw material nano particle size tungsten oxide, it has been reported that some experts have synthesized WO3-X nanorods by simple vapor phase precipitation method. By covering a glass slide on a tungsten foil heated on a hot plate, the experts found that nanorods were deposited on the surface of the slide after a certain period of reaction. The XRD pattern of the nanorod thus obtained is basically consistent with the standard pattern of WO2.90 [JCPDS: 18-1417], and it can be confirmed that WO3-x is obtained by this preparation method. Most synthetic tungsten oxide nanorods have a length of a few microns, a diameter of about 130nm, and a slight increase in diameter as the heating time increases.
