Mo-doping WO3 Electrochromic Film

Mo-doping WO3 electrochromic film is an electrochromic material that may be applied to large-area architectural glass to obtain smart windows, which ultimately plays the role of thermal insulation and heat preservation. For this, some experts have prepared different concentrations of molybdenum-doped nanocrystalline tungsten trioxide thin films by spray pyrolysis method, and found that:

As the Mo doping content increases, the grain size of the tungsten oxide film becomes larger and the surface roughness increases, which leads to an improvement in the electrochromic property of the film. When the Mo doping concentration is 2%, the discoloration of film is the most stable. When Mo is doped 6%, the hydrogen ion diffusion coefficient is the largest, and the film discoloration rate is the fastest. However, when the Mo doping amount reaches 10%, the grain size of the film decreases and the surface becomes flat, and the discoloration rate and stability decrease.
