WO3 Applied for Near-infrared Shielding Material

WO3 is a near-infrared shielding material, that is, a heat insulating material, with the performance of shielding ultraviolet rays. These heat insulation materials may be thermal insulation films or heat insulating glasses. Due to the excellent reversible photochromic properties of tungsten trioxide nano particles, these thermal insulating materials have been more and more widely applied in the heat insulation field of architectural glass.

The obtained architectural glass has a transparent appearance so that it will not shield a lot of visible light. And the visible light transmittance is higher than 70%. At the same time, it can also effectively shield near-infrared rays with a wavelength of 780nm or more. However, at present, the color change efficiency of the tungsten trioxide photochromic material is not high enough, and the synthesis conditions are limited in a large range, which is not conducive to industrial synthesis. To solve these problems, experts have provided a reversible photochromic tungsten oxide nano material. It is a doped tungsten oxide nano material synthesized by doping gallium oxide and zinc element in tungsten oxide. The doped tungsten oxide nano material has a molecular formula of ZnxGayWO3, wherein 0<x≤0.1, 0<y≤0.1.
