Hexagonal Tungsten Trioxide Nanosheet Film

Hexagonal tungsten trioxide nanosheet film is a type of electrochromic film that can be prepared by hydrothermal method. In order to improve the electrochromism of tungsten trioxide, researchers usually construct a porous structural film using hexagonal phase tungsten trioxide of ions and electron conductivity, as the schematic illustration shown below.

The hydrothermal method is a commonly used method for constructing an electrochromic film of nano porous structure. Some experts have prepared a self-woven tungsten trioxide nanosheet film of hexagonal phase by hydrothermal method. And it was found that the obtained the tungsten trioxide nanosheet film exhibited very excellent electrochromic properties. However, there are also some disadvantages such as a longer reaction time and a higher reaction temperature. More badly, a large amount of acetonitrile is required as a solvent in the preparation process. And it is the disadvantages mentioned above limit the large-scale rapid production of WO3 film by hydrothermal method.
