Snowden: the U.S. Monitored China Network through PRISM

At the beginning of June, 2013, Edward Snowden, the former employee of Booz disclosed to The Guardian and The Washington Post that in 2007, NSA (National Security Agency) and FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) started a secret network monitoring program named as PRISM. Then Snowden disclosed again that NSA invaded China computer system for several times by using PRISM. NSA monitored China network for 4 years at least.

Based on Snowden’s data, The Guardian and the Washington Post reported the PRISM. PRISM could inserted into center severs of internet companies in the U.S. directly and carried on data mining for intelligence. The U.S. intelligence analysts could contact all of users’ information directly, such as audio, video or email and follow users and their contacts. 9 internet giants involved in the event, including Apple, Microsoft, Google and Facebook.

According to Snowden, in 2009, NSA invaded computer system in mainland of China and Hong Kong for several times through PRISM so that could monitor China network. NSA attacked China websites, including enterprises, universities and governments. The targets were more than hundreds and time lasted for 4 years.

Chinese foreign ministry had figured out that China was victim for hacker before. But it didn’t point out where the attacking came from.

According to existing information, through PRISM, the U.S. intelligence can detect military intelligence in other countries. All of corporations who may be related to military defense cannot avoid monitor.
