Jiangxi Tungsten Concentrate Average Price Increased in February 2025

Recently, according to information from the official website of the Jiangxi Provincial Development and Reform Commission, in February 2025, the average prices of 65 essential consumer goods monitored in Jiangxi showed a mixed trend: 29 increased, 27 decreased, and 9 remained stable compared to the previous month. Among industrial production materials, tungsten concentrate prices saw a slight increase, rare earth prices rose, steel prices experienced more declines than increases, cement prices edged down slightly, and sand and gravel prices fell.

Regarding Jiangxi tungsten concentrate average price, the average sales price of tungsten concentrate in Ganzhou in February 2025 was 144,500 yuan/ton, reflecting a month-on-month increase of 0.70% and a year-on-year rise of 17.48%.

According to Zhongwu Zhizao, the overall trend of the Chinese tungsten market in February 2025 was downward. The average price of 65% black tungsten concentrate was 144,800 yuan/ton, down 0.07% month-on-month but up 16.40% year-on-year, with end-of-month quotes falling 2.05% compared to the beginning of the month. The average price of 65% white tungsten concentrate was 143,800 yuan/ton, also down 0.07% month-on-month but up 16.53% year-on-year, with end-of-month quotes dropping 2.07% from the start of the month.

As for rare earth price in Jiangxi, in February 2025, the average sales prices of high-yttrium oxide (rare earth) and medium-yttrium europium oxide (rare earth) in Ganzhou were 200,000 yuan/ton and 182,000 yuan/ton, respectively, representing month-on-month increases of 6.38% and 8.33%, and year-on-year increases of 2.56% and 12.35%, respectively.

According to Zhongwu Zhizao, the price trend of rare earth products in China in February 2025 showed an oscillating upward movement. The price of praseodymium oxide rose by approximately 41,000 yuan/ton, a 9.58% increase; neodymium oxide increased by about 44,000 yuan/ton, up 10.48%; praseodymium-neodymium oxide rose by around 33,000 yuan/ton, up 7.91%; praseodymium-neodymium metal increased by approximately 38,000 yuan/ton, up 7.39%; terbium oxide rose by about 510 yuan/kg, up 8.56%; dysprosium oxide increased by roughly 70,000 yuan/ton, up 4.19%; and dysprosium-iron alloy rose by approximately 40,000 yuan/ton, up 2.44%. This upward trend is mainly attributed to increased inquiries from downstream users after the Spring Festival, slower capacity release by manufacturers, limited imports of rare earth products from overseas, and the continuous introduction of supportive policies.

In terms of average prices in February 2025, the average price of praseodymium oxide in China was 452,368 yuan/ton, up 7.32% month-on-month and 11.74% year-on-year; neodymium oxide averaged 445,684 yuan/ton, up 8.18% month-on-month and 11.21% year-on-year; praseodymium-neodymium oxide averaged 436,263 yuan/ton, up 7.39% month-on-month and 11.88% year-on-year; praseodymium-neodymium metal averaged 537,526 yuan/ton, up 7.38% month-on-month and 10.08% year-on-year; terbium oxide averaged 6,136 yuan/kg, up 4.85% month-on-month and 9.96% year-on-year; dysprosium oxide averaged 1,718,947 yuan/ton, up 4.14% month-on-month but down 9.53% year-on-year; and dysprosium-iron alloy averaged 1,693,158 yuan/ton, up 5.09% month-on-month but down 10.12% year-on-year.
