Analysis of latest tungsten market from Chinatungsten Online

Tungsten prices remained stable on Monday, as the tug-of-war between market supply and demand remained intense. Overall trade confidence was under pressure, and transaction prices mainly referred to the long-term contract prices of major tungsten enterprises.

According to a survey by China Tungsten Online, export control measures for tungsten-related items imply stricter market access conditions. As a result, the operating capacity of Chinese smelting enterprises has decreased. These enterprises are currently re-examining and standardizing the compliance of related tungsten product exports. Due to the time required to apply for export licenses, recent market shipments have been relatively sluggish. Manufacturers have been cautious in purchasing raw materials and accepting orders, leading to a weak and stable market sentiment with a wait-and-see attitude.

The price of 65% black tungsten concentrate was $20,281.7/ton. The tight market supply situation has eased somewhat, prompting merchants to sell their goods in a timely manner to cash in. However, the actual transaction enthusiasm remained generally subdued.

The price of ammonium tungstate was $337.4/mtu. Market trading enthusiasm was poor, as costs and demand continued to squeeze corporate profits.

Tungsten powder prices were $44.6/kg, and carbide tungsten powder prices were $43.9/kg. Market bidding activity increased, resulting in a slight downward shift in transaction prices.

The price of 70% ferro tungsten was $30,704.2/ton. There were differing views on trade atmospheres at home and internationally. Expectations of a supply-strong and demand-weak situation in the industry chain have changed. As a result, the market was mainly cautious, and prices remained stable for the time being.

The market for tungsten scrap has undergone a slight downturn with limited progress in demand. Participants are closely monitoring the sentiment in the tungsten raw material sector, and their recent mindset has been relatively stressed.
