Terbium Oxide Price - January 8, 2025

The domestic rare earth market continues to exhibit a "price without transactions" pattern. To mitigate the risk of cost-revenue inversion, some suppliers are showing an increased tendency to raise their quotes.

Today, the price of praseodymium-neodymium oxide rose by approximately 2,000 yuan/ton, terbium oxide increased by about 150 yuan/kg, and dysprosium oxide rose by around 20,000 yuan/ton. However, there has been no significant increase in market demand, with magnetic material manufacturers and other downstream rare earth production enterprises remaining relatively cautious in their consumption.

From a long-term perspective, supported by robust national policies, technological innovation driving new productive forces, the continuous expansion of rare earth applications, as well as steady progress in industry mergers, green and low-carbon transformation, and other synergistic factors, China's rare earth industry is expected to maintain a stable development trajectory. Its outlook remains positive and promising.

Market news: Due to adjustments in business strategy, Northern Rare Earth announced that starting from January 2025, it will no longer publish monthly listed prices. Instead, future long-term contract prices may adopt daily pricing published by the Rare Earth Exchange.
