The Tungsten Price Market Remained Stable in the First Trading Week after the National Day Holiday

In the first trading week after the National Day holiday, the tungsten price market remained stable. 

On one hand, this was due to positive macroeconomic sentiment, and on the other hand, it was supported by the price increases from several key tungsten enterprises. However, the market fundamentals remained tight, and with conservative price increases from long-term contracts of smelting companies, participants' sentiment was still generally cautious. The upward momentum for tungsten raw material prices was constrained, and overall transaction volumes were limited.

In the tungsten concentrate market, high-grade tungsten prices held steady at around $20,289.9/ton, with strong supply-side support but a relatively slow demand response, leading to a stalemate in the short-term high prices.

In the ammonium paratungstate (APT) market, offers remained at approximately $340.6/mtu. Downstream buyers continued to show some resistance to high prices, and actual transactions were limited, with most trades based on essential needs.

Tungsten powder prices remained stable at around $44.8/kg, while tungsten carbide powder prices fluctuated around $44.1/kg. The alloy sector showed rational stocking sentiment, with limited market liquidity, which suppressed price movements.

Ferrotungsten prices edged up to $30,434.8/ton, supported by stable cost factors. However, actual demand was moderate, and market participants mostly remained in a wait-and-see mode.

In the scrap tungsten market, the offer sentiment initially rose along with external market and raw material trends, but then stabilized as rationality returned. Buyer sentiment remained relatively weak, leading to a cautious atmosphere in the market and stalemated transactions.
