Holmium Oxide Prices - September 4, 2024

The domestic rare earth market is generally maintaining a strong upward trend. Due to a strong tendency among many suppliers to hold back sales and raise prices, praseodymium-neodymium prices remain stable, while dysprosium and terbium prices continue to rise.

Today, the prices of terbium oxide, holmium oxide, and dysprosium oxide have increased by approximately ¥50 per kilogram, ¥6,000 per ton, and ¥10,000 per ton, respectively.

In the light rare earth market, the situation is relatively favorable. Factors such as the month-on-month increase in the listed price of Northern Rare Earth, the limited supply of mainstream raw materials, decent inquiries from magnetic material companies, and higher production costs have led to a noticeable rise in praseodymium-neodymium prices recently. However, downstream users are increasingly hesitant due to the higher prices.

In the medium and heavy rare earth market, the overall situation is characterized by high prices but low trading volumes. Although suppliers are more inclined to raise prices, driven by the rise in light rare earth prices and supported by production costs, the purchasing power of downstream buyers is limited, resulting in relatively few market transactions.
