Chinese tungsten prices are consolidating, and recent trading activity in the market has been limited.

Plans for stocking up before the Spring Festival are not yet clear, leading to a strong wait-and-see sentiment among traders. Overall, negotiations for immediate needs are limited.

The price of high-grade tungsten concentrate remains around $17,571.4/ton, with sellers reluctant to lower prices. Due to environmental and safety production requirements, decreasing ore grade, and increased demand for intermediate smelting products and backend alloy production capacity, there is a relatively tight supply of ore sand, prompting most holders to maintain a firm pricing stance.

APT (Ammonium Paratungstate) prices are holding steady at around $293.8/mtu. The market is characterized by an ongoing struggle between cost support and weak demand. Low-grade mining resources are hard to find, coupled with the high cost of smelting and processing due to waste treatment requirements. Downstream users are cautious in their procurement and bargaining, resulting in limited actual market orders. The overall market focus remains at the level of long-term quotations from large tungsten enterprises.

Tungsten powder prices are stabilizing at around $39.0/kg. There is relatively ample room for negotiation in the market, with the intention to maintain prices on the raw material side supporting sellers' quotations. However, the sluggish sentiment in alloy consumption is affecting buyers' confidence. Market transactions are mostly negotiated based on immediate needs, leading to a general stalemate in negotiations.
