Specifically, there is a decrease of approximately 6,000 yuan/ton for praseodymium-neodymium oxide, a decrease of approximately 5,000 yuan/ton for praseodymium-neodymium metal, and a decrease of approximately 2,000 yuan/ton for gadolinium oxide.

However, despite the downward adjustment in rare earth raw material prices and their current relatively low selling prices, the desire of downstream users to purchase at lower prices has not significantly increased. As a result, the market trading atmosphere is subdued, and there are few new orders.

According to information from Chinatungsten Online, besides the persistent weakness in downstream demand, another factor contributing to the difficulty in stopping the decline in supplier quotations is the year-on-year increase of approximately 21.43% in the total control indicators for rare earth mining, smelting, and separation in 2023. However, suppliers are generally maintaining a rational approach to concessions due to support from production costs.

In terms of news, data from the National Bureau of Statistics shows that in November 2023, the production of major energy products in large-scale industries continued to grow year-on-year. In November, power generation reached 731 billion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 8.4%, with the growth rate accelerating by 3.2 percentage points compared to October. Raw coal production was 410 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 4.6%, and the growth rate accelerated by 0.8 percentage points compared to October. Crude oil production was 172 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 2.6%, and the growth rate accelerated by 2.1 percentage points compared to October. Processed crude oil was 595.3 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 0.2%, but the growth rate fell by 8.9 percentage points compared to October. Natural gas production was 199 billion cubic meters, a year-on-year increase of 5.3%, with the growth rate accelerating by 2.7 percentage points compared to October.
