Chinese Rare Earth Prices - November 8, 2023

Chinese rare earth prices are currently experiencing narrow-range fluctuations on November 8, 2023. This is mainly attributed to a reduction in the enthusiasm of downstream users for consumption after the "Golden September and Silver October" period ended. 

Additionally, some rare earth raw material supplies remain relatively ample. However, due to strong support from production cost factors, robust environmental protection efforts, continuous optimization of the rare earth industry structure, and the rapid development of emerging industries, many suppliers have a lower willingness to reduce prices and hold high expectations for positive market performance in the future.

In terms of news, the State Council's executive meeting discussed matters related to promoting the high-quality development of the rare earth industry. It emphasized the need to coordinate rare earth resource exploration, development, utilization, and regulatory management. It also stressed the importance of bringing together efforts from various parties, such as production, academia, research, and application. The meeting encouraged the active promotion of research and application of new-generation green and efficient mining and metallurgy technologies. Furthermore, it highlighted the importance of intensifying efforts in research and industrialization of high-end rare earth new materials, strictly combating illegal mining and ecological damage, and focusing on advancing the high-end, intelligent, and green development of the rare earth industry.
