China Rare Earth Price - March 6, 2023

At the beginning of the week, the overall China rare earth price was still in a downward trend. Under the influence of factors such as the weak downstream demand that has not improved, the production capacity of rare earth manufacturers basically released normally, and the large import volume of overseas rare earth raw materials, the spot inventory in the market is slightly loose.

As a result, the prices of rare earth raw materials such as praseodymium, neodymium, dysprosium, terbium, and gadolinium have fallen to varying degrees. The current prices of neodymium oxide, praseodymium-neodymium metal and dysprosium-iron alloy have fallen below RMB 700,000/ton, RMB 800,000/ton and RMB 2,000,000/ton respectively. However, supported by production costs and the good prospects for the development of emerging industries, there are still industry players who have great expectations for a better market outlook.
