China Rare Earth Market - January 18, 2023

China rare earth market maintained a stable operation on January 18, 2023. With the increasingly strong atmosphere of the Spring Festival, the logistics have been suspended one after another.

In addition, the current market conditions are not good, and downstream users are more hesitant to purchase, so the transactions are sluggish. However, supported by the low spot inventory of praseodymium, neodymium, dysprosium, and terbium raw materials and the support of production costs, suppliers are generally less willing to cut prices and sell, and wait for the market performance after the holiday.

At present, the prices of praseodymium neodymium oxide, praseodymium neodymium metal, terbium oxide and dysprosium-iron alloy are around 725,000 yuan/ton, 880,000 yuan/ton, 13,950 yuan/kg and 2,460,000 yuan/ton respectively.

In terms of news: According to the investor interaction platform, the orders in hand of Innova are relatively ideal, and about 2,000 tons of production capacity will be added in 2023. At present, the total production capacity of the company's NdFeB rough is about 13,000 tons, of which the Hengdian base has a production capacity of 5,000 tons, and the Ganzhou base has a production capacity of 8,000 tons, and the capacity utilization rate is about 70%-80%. In 2023, about 2,000 tons of production capacity will be added.
