EV Resources Set to Begin Drilling at Khartoum Tin-Silver-Tungsten Project

Despite delays due to heavy rain, EV Resources (EVR) reports that it is on track to begin drilling at the Khartoum Tin-Silver-Tungsten Project in North Queensland. The initial 3,000-meter drill campaign is planned for the end of May at the Boulder property.

The property hosts granitic, low-grade, and large tonnage targets that have been intersected on a number of pipelines. The drill program was designed to determine the mineralization potential of the linear alteration zones along the inter-pipeline and the associated deeper mineralization.

Specifically, the initial program will follow up on previous drilling results as well as evaluate untested mineralized tuff outcrops. Although fieldwork was delayed due to heavy rainfall during the rainy season, EVR has cleared access and completed the rig in preparation to begin drilling.

Adrian Paul, Executive Director, said. Adrian Paul said, "I am very pleased with the progress made on the Khartoum project. The acquisition was only completed at the end of September last year, however, the prolonged rainy season has limited activity on the ground."

"Planned drilling at the Boulder property will be the first step in identifying significant mineable tin mineralization, with the potential to supplement high-grade feed from the Brownville and Stannary Hills areas." Outcrop sampling has also been conducted in the northern portion of the Boulder area to further define drill targets and the Company is awaiting the results of the sampling.

To determine the potential for high-grade, economic tin-tungsten mineralization in the area, EV Resources has commenced reconnaissance work at the Brownville property as well as the Gows and Tungsten Knob properties in the Khartoum project.

Base metal exploration has been completed in the past in this area, where tin is also present, but no drilling has been recorded. The company is now following up on historical work and is also conducting systematic rock chip sampling.

The Khartoum Tin-Silver-Tungsten Project is located approximately 100 kilometers southwest of Cairns (an Australian port) and consists of five exploration licenses covering a total area of 198 square kilometers. There are a number of historic mines and tin occurrences on the property, only a few have been drilled and the Company is moving towards completing acquisitions and preparing for drilling.

EV Resources has signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding with the tin smelter, Thailand Smelting and Refining Company Limited, to negotiate the supply of tin concentrate for the Company's Khartoum project, including a right of first refusal for all other tin projects (subject to a final offtake agreement), including any joint venture projects between the parties. Within the negotiable terms of the proposed definitive agreement, Thailand Smelting and Refining Company Limited will make an upfront payment to pre-purchase a portion of the tin concentrate from the Company at a discount.
