Dysprosium Oxide Price - March 2, 2022

Rare earth market quotation in China: terbium oxide, cerium oxide and dysprosium oxide prices decline slightly as favorable factors are difficult to offset buyers’ fear of high prices. In order to obtain more order, some suppliers have rationally lowered their quotation.

According to Chinatungsten Online, the positive factors include: firstly, affected by the escalation of tensions between Russia and Ukraine, rising commodity prices and the possibility of restricted exports of Russian rare earths, which in turn prompted Chinese rare earth enterprises to be reluctant to sell and keep prices high; secondly, due to the fact that the epidemic situation in some areas, such as Inner Mongolia, has not been completely controlled, the release of light rare earth production is limited, while frequent rainy weather in the south and the obstruction of mine exports in Myanmar are the main reasons for the low spot positions of heavy rare earth; thirdly, global energy conservation and emission reduction under the background of the rapid development of new energy vehicles, energy-saving home appliances, wind power generation and other industries, the consumption of rare earth permanent magnet materials has been greatly driven.

In terms of news: the listing price of Southern Rare Earth shows that the listing price of samarium oxide is 28,000-28,500 yuan/ton, and the middle price is raised by 0.5 million yuan/ton; the listing price of dysprosium oxide is 3.12-3.15 million yuan/ton, and the middle price is lowered by 30,000 yuan/ton; the listed price of holmium oxide is 1.93-1.95 million yuan/ton, and the middle price is lowered by 25,000 yuan/ton.
