Europium Oxide Price - May 17, 2021

Rare earth market quotation in China: europium oxide, neodymium oxide and praseodymium neodymium oxide prices decline slightly on May 17, 2021 due to low consumption of downstream and stable supply from domestic rare earth mining enterprises.

However, affected by the economic recovery, loose monetary policy and optimistic expectations for the development of emerging industries, many industry players believe that the weak market will not last long.

The mid-year update report of "World Economic Situation and Outlook in 2021" raised China's economic growth forecast in 2021 from the 7.2% forecast at the beginning of the year to 8.2%, raised the US economic growth forecast from 3.4% to 6.2%, and boosted the economic growth of the euro zone. It is expected to be revised down from 5.0% to 4.2%. At the same time, it is expected that in 2021, developed economies will grow by 5.0%, developing economies will grow by 6.1%, and the least developed economies will grow by 4.0%.
