Terbium Oxide Price - May 13, 2021

Rare earth market quotation in China: terbium oxide and praseodymium neodymium oxide prices keep declining on May 13, 2021 under deadlocked supply and demand in the market. But the drop may not last too long with the support of policy.

China’s domestic shipments of new energy vehicles and smartphones both declined in April compared with the previous month, which is not conducive to the warming of the rare earth market. In April 2021, the sales of new energy vehicles were 206,000 units, a month-on-month decrease of 8.7% and an increase of 180.3% year-on-year; during the same period, the overall domestic mobile phone market shipments were 27.486 million units, a month-on-month decrease of 7.782,000 units, a year-on-year decrease of 34.1%, of which 5G mobile phones shipments were 21.42 million units, accounting for 77.9% of mobile phone shipments during the same period.
