China Europium Oxide Price - March 25, 2021

Rare earth market quotation in China: DyFe and dysprosium oxide prices rise while europium oxide price is unchanged from the previous trading day as buyers and sellers are different in their operations.

In the light rare earth market, the supply is still tight. With the continuous strengthening of environmental protection inspections in some regions, some rare earth smelting companies have begun to reduce production or even stop production, resulting in slow growth of mainstream product inventories and increased confidence in holding prices; the medium and heavy rare earth market is mixed. The consumption capacity of downstream magnetic materials companies is limited, which has led to a rational reduction in the prices of a few products. However, supported by costs, the prices of terbium products have remained firm.

In February 2021, a total of 6,666 tons of rare earths and their products were exported, valued at 21.397 million U.S. dollars. Compared with the same period in 2020, the export volume increased by 127.8% and the export value increased by 166.1%. In February, the export volume of rare earths totaled 3,045 tons, with an export value of 398.86 million U.S. dollars. Compared with the same period in 2020, the export volume increased by 98.7% and the export value increased by 145.8%.
