China Molybdenum Oxide Price - March 25, 2021

Prices of molybdenum products in China continue to remain stable on March 25, 2021 because the decline in international molybdenum price has dented domestic market confidence, and the demand is weak as well.

The overall trading is limited in the tungsten concentrate market when both upstream and downstream companies take a watchful stance, which makes concentrate price stabilize at 1,730 yuan/ton; the ferro molybdenum market is under pressure due to lower-than-expected price and quantity of steel tenders. Intermediate smelting enterprises are hard to make their offers. New increased orders are limited in the molybdenum chemical and product market and molybdenum oxide price is about 1,830 yuan/ton.

In the news: In February 2021, the crude steel output of the 64 countries included in the World Steel Association's statistics was 150.2 million tons, an increase of 4.1% year-on-year.
